Welcome to Hodgson & Muir Orthodontics. We're your professional and friendly orthodontic practice situated at 58 Great South Road in Papatoetoe, Auckland, New Zealand.
We can be contacted during the normal business hours of Monday to Thursday from 8.30am to 5.00pm. Our orthodontist Dr John Muir and Linda Astrug Markman enjoys providing expert advice for straight teeth and great smiles. We've been proudly treating generations of families for 60 years.
Our orthodontic specialists are all registered with the New Zealand Dental Council and keep up-to-date with modern methods and materials. Dr Muir works in the Papatoetoe practice four days a week.
About the practice
Hodgson & Muir Orthodontics is a partnership between Dr John Muir and Dr John Hodgson, who have provided orthodontic services for the people of South Auckland since the 1960's.
Situated just north of Hunters Corner, Papatoetoe, we're a professional and friendly orthodontic practice, with plenty of parking on Great South Road.
Our orthodontists are specialists registered with the New Zealand Dental Council, who keep up-to-date with modern methods and materials.
About Dr John Muir
BDS, DOrthRCS Eng, FDSRDC Ed - Orthodontist
Dr John Muir is a specialist orthodontist and a member of:
- The New Zealand Association of Orthodontics
- The New Zealand Dental Association
- The Auckland Dental Association
- The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron
After graduating with a BDS degree in 1971 from Otago University, John undertook postgraduate study in orthodontics. A five-year term as a lecturer in orthodontics at Otago University preceded his joining Dr Duncan Hodgson in specialist orthodontic practice, in Papatoetoe in 1985.
He works in Papatoetoe four days a week.
About Dr Linda Astrug Markman
Orthodontist
Dr Linda Astrug Markman graduated in 1999 from the Medical University of Sofia Bulgaria and had worked as a dentist in Bulgaria and Israel prior to obtaining her post-graduate degree in orthodontics.
She is a registered orthodontic specialist in UK, Belgium, Bulgaria and New Zealand. She is very passionate about orthodontics and especially working with young children. She considers herself very fortunate to be able to deliver great smiles to her patients.
In her private life, she enjoys time with her family, her husband and two lovely young children.
